I have a ton of new zines in the shop at the moment.  Some are fashion based, some are music or photography based, and some are all three!  Here are a few of them:

Dossier is a mag my friends Skye Parrott (photographer) and Katherine Krause ( writer) started.  This debut issue is just hitting stands this week!  Dossier is the only magazine that combines fashion, creative writing, photography and art.  Not only does it have literary substance but it's also some serious eye-candy.  This issue contains interviews with Francesco Clemente and Mark Ronson, photography by David Armstrong and Melodie McDaniel, fashion by Zac Posen, and even a recipe by Mario Batali.

Check out their site for more info:  DOSSIERJOURNAL.  On stands now: $15

'Sup has been around for 10 years and started out as a simple b/w printout stapled together.  This is their 18th issue and i must say, one of their best looking issues.  A true music zine, publisher & editor-in-chief Marisa Brickman brings solid interviews with some of your favorite bands and many bands you've never heard of before.

This issue gets you closer to the following artists:

  • The Kills
  • Map of Africa
  • The Virgins
  • Bat for Lashes
  • White Williams
  • Italians do it Better
  • Dirty Projectors
  • and many many more....
The best part is that it's FREEEEEEE!  Come by the store and grab one...you'll be happy you did. SUPmag

USELESS is an artist-run, independent, art and culture newspaper based in New York and London.  Each bi-annual issue is comprised of original essays, interviews, photography, and illustrations that relate to a theme.  Issue #7, 'A Star Shaped Enterprise' features articles such as the Barbican Art Gallery, Artist Agathe Snow, cover boy Brendan Sexton III, and 4 legends of New York.

Check out their site: USELESS and then come check out a copy: $4.
